Amazon is seeking Site Process Engineers to work in the EU Process Engineering (EU PE) team. The Site Process Engineer is an onsite position.

About the EU PE Team

The EU PE team consists of operational leaders focused on process stabilization, standardization, and continuous improvement within the EU Customer Fulfilment Network. Their goal is to establish best-in-class process performance, accelerate technological advancements, and enhance the technical expertise of operational leaders across the FC network.

Role Overview

The Site Process Engineer collaborates closely with FC Senior Leadership and EU PE functions. The role involves deploying initiatives, building networks within the FC, and driving compliance and continuous improvement activities. The engineer must demonstrate ownership of initiatives, understand process details, and influence outcomes to achieve productivity and efficiency gains.

Key Responsibilities

1. Back to Basics (B2B) Initiatives:
   • Identify top opportunities by analyzing the bottom 50 processes against benchmarks.
   • Develop and implement improvement plans in collaboration with local Operations Management.
   • Oversee improvement programs, prioritize focus areas, and analyze process performance.
   • Engage stakeholders regularly to ensure action plan completion.
   • Collaborate with regional PE teams and benchmark to reduce variation.
2. Continuous Improvement:
   • Implement network best practices and share successful initiatives across the EU.
   • Enhance the framework for capturing and scaling FC innovations.
   • Ensure major projects are incorporated into the annual Operating Plan.
3. Deployment and Partnership:
   • Manage deployment of EU network initiatives, ensuring timelines and compliance.
   • Support test and pilot phases for projects to prevent delays.
   • Participate in daily Gemba walks and weekly leadership meetings.
   • Build strong relationships with site leadership to gain trust and support for initiatives.
   • Support or lead EU projects, potentially expanding scope across multiple FCs.

Additional Responsibilities

• Travel within the region as needed (domestic and regional).
• Support site management operations during Q4 as needed.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and German (C1 level).
• Experience in operations as an Area Manager or similar role.
• Technical knowledge of at least one Fulfillment process path (certified).
• Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies.
• Knowledge of change management and continuous improvement techniques.
• Excellent communication, detail orientation, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Leadership skills to motivate teams.
