This is a US Local National position in Germany. As such, the employee will be subject to paying German taxes and be part of the German workforce with all the benefits of HN employment and social system.

Under the supervision of the Logistics Supervisor, responsible for providing technical advisory to the warehouse (SSA / LOM) operations and guidance to personnel assigned to work therein. Responsible for providing technical assistance for the receipt, issue, storage, and accountability of specialized electronic equipment and components according to the Department of the Army and 2nd Theater Signal Brigade regulations and guidelines. Responsible for reviewing catalog data information on inventory assets to recommend correct actions for receipt, storage, issue, and/or disposition of assets. Provides technical assistance for planning warehouse storage capabilities and makes storage layouts.

Responsibilities
  1. Receive, inventory, and store material.
  2. Pull and issue material when requested.
  3. Provide technical guidance, advice, and coordination to authorized customers for issue, turn-in, and pickup of materiel from the Stock Record Account / List of Material Account.
  4. Review warehouse storage requirements daily and reorganize materiel as needed. Conduct warehouse location maintenance and provide updates to the Stock Control Analyst.
  5. Conduct and assist in location surveys, pre-inventories, and determine causes of inventory discrepancies. Perform causative research and prepare supporting statements for Inventory Adjustment Reports (IAR) or DD Form 4949 for administrative adjustments when required.
  6. Provide electronic information via communication means (email, WorkGroups, etc.) to the Accountable Officer, Logistics Supervisor, and Stock Control Analyst.
  7. Review catalog data on inventory assets and recommend actions for receipt, storage, issue, or disposition.
  8. Ensure all supply documentation is filed according to AR 25-400-2.
  9. Assist with surveys and inventory of all Stock Record Account / List of Material Account equipment.
  10. Maintain the List of Material Account Signature Card book.
  11. Record serial numbers on receipt or issue documents prior to processing material for receipt, issue, or shipment.
  12. Verify accuracy of Materiel Release Orders / Call Outs against unit requests, ensuring correct items and quantities. Record serial numbers on Materiel Release Orders as required.
  13. Communicate electronically with managers, supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
  14. Request disposition instructions using automated methods (email, LAN system) to the appropriate sources such as the Source of Supply, TAMMC, and 2nd Signal Theater Brigade.
  15. Properly dispose of excess equipment through the local Defense Logistics Agency.
  16. Provide location change sheets for equipment moved within the warehouse.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High School Graduate (or equivalent German certification)
  • Two years of experience in warehouse operations.

Skills:

  • Problem-solving, organizational, and strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Other Requirements:

  • Knowledge/certification in IGC, LIW, WEBSDR, AESIP preferred.
  • Ability to operate a forklift up to 6000 pounds and pallet jacks.
  • Ability to lift items between 20-50 pounds.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
