The Role

Are you ready to have a huge business impact? As Senior Data Scientist for AdTech Measurement, you will be responsible for measuring the incrementality of our marketing channels and activities within our media mix. Your work will be crucial to guiding and optimizing HelloFresh’s marketing budget, directly impacting our marketing efficiency goals.

You will design and implement statistical and machine learning models considering various data sources, from experimentation results to marketing spend and campaign performance metrics. Additionally, you will drive experiments to validate and enhance your models with ground-truth data.

To succeed, you should be curious, a fast learner, and capable of prioritizing problem statements and tailoring solutions accordingly. You will suggest multiple solutions, prioritize tasks based on effort and impact, collaborate with team members, and mentor junior data scientists.

What you’ll do

• Join a skilled and dynamic team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business objectives into data-driven strategies.
• Take technical ownership of media-mix and attribution models, from data collection to operationalization, aligning with stakeholders.
• Experiment and explore opportunities for improvement.
• Leverage statistical analysis and machine learning in development and production to improve incrementality measurements.
• Innovate on data products to deliver value to stakeholders.
• Mentor colleagues and foster a collaborative environment.

What you’ll bring

• Proven track record in scientific work with a degree in statistics, physics, economics, mathematics, data science, or similar.
• At least 3 years of experience as a senior data scientist, preferably in e-commerce.
• Strong marketing domain knowledge and experience with media mix and attribution models is a plus.
• Fluency in Python and familiarity with scientific libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib); experience with Databricks is a plus.
• Expertise in interpreting experiment results, handling statistical uncertainties, and applying models like regressors and classifiers.
• Experience with Bayesian forecasting and estimating model uncertainties.
• Ability to manipulate large datasets using SQL and build data pipelines.
• Knowledge of software development tools (Git, Docker, AWS).
• Curious, critical thinker, creative problem solver, and team player with excellent communication skills.
