Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, perform, interpret, and report results of scientific experiments and analytics independently. These are related to analytical characterization activities as well as method development, including qualification in a modern analytical lab with state-of-the-art equipment, working under development compliance standards.
  • Ensure good documentation practices.
  • Integrate digitalized processes in your daily work (e.g., automated sample preparation, digital lab management systems).
  • Write analytical or instrumental procedures, analytical requests, and method development reports.
  • Support the team in the development of biosimilars, working in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Support pipeline projects, represent the department in local networks, lead science activities, and contribute with your experience and knowledge.
  • Maintain analytical equipment and manage operational aspects in the laboratory.
  • Communicate, address, and tackle problems (e.g., unexpected results from experiments) within your own and broader areas of responsibility, and lead root cause investigations.
  • Act as a technical expert in audits and inspections as needed.
  • Be part of an open and motivated team with flat hierarchies, bring your networking skills, and collaborate across boundaries.
  • Bring and realize your ideas and improvement proposals; be creative, open-minded, think boldly, and inspire others.

What You Will Bring To The Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant natural science such as biotechnology, biochemical engineering, biology, chemistry, biochemistry, food chemistry, or equivalent, with 3 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry, or a Master’s degree (preferably with pharmaceutical industry experience).
  • Profound experience with instrumental analytics (especially HPLC, CE, and/or LC-MS techniques) and good knowledge of chemical processes is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English and German (oral and written).
  • Curiosity about new digital approaches and innovative technologies.
  • Flexible, pragmatic, and goal-oriented working style with a scientific mindset.
  • A can-do attitude, adaptability to change, strong communication skills across organizational interfaces, and the ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team in a matrix environment.

You’ll Receive

  • Competitive salary and performance-based annual bonus.
  • Excellent work/life balance, eligible for Sandoz pension plan.
  • 30 working days holiday per year.
  • Subsidized on-site cafeteria and additional benefits.
