Technical Account Managers are highly experienced Architects who bring both deep technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to support a small portfolio of strategic clients (approximately 3 per TAM). They must be quick on their feet and able to turn challenging customer situations into positive outcomes, whether in the boardroom with a client CTO or sharing the command line with a client admin. They need to be effective both technically and communicatively, capable of managing relationships while maintaining a tight organizational overview of their accounts.

How you'll make an impact

  • Collaborate with the customer and the internal account team to identify priorities and develop engagement plans
  • Manage project milestones, contribute to deliverables, provide status updates, and proactively mitigate issues
  • Serve as a central technical point for the client and contribute to account strategy
  • Support the growth of the Field Engineering team through documentation, process improvements, and knowledge sharing
  • Act as the primary technical advisor, providing guidance on Dataiku platform architecture, deployment, operations, security, data management, ML-Ops, and scaling strategies
  • Assist clients in system integration and troubleshooting
  • Gather client feedback to inform product development
  • Advise on long-term technical strategies and complementary technologies
  • Support advanced use cases like edge computing, deep learning, and MLOps

What you'll need to be successful

  • 7+ years in a customer-facing technical role
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in German
  • Strong communication and relationship skills
  • Experience in pre- and post-sales support
  • Proficiency in Linux system administration and networking
  • Experience with identity/access management tools (LDAP, Kerberos, Active Directory, IAM)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with Kubernetes setup, administration, troubleshooting, and tuning
  • Familiarity with Hadoop and/or Spark ecosystems
