Having opened in September 2013, St. George’s School Munich has rapidly developed into a thriving community of over 700 pupils and 100 teachers. The school continues to grow, with expectations to reach 800 pupils. The school's ethos combines an enriching curriculum with family-oriented care, making it a warm and engaging place to work and learn.
In September 2017, the school moved to a new, purpose-built campus in the city, providing first-class educational facilities. The National Curriculum is taught throughout, with IGCSE qualifications in the Upper School and the International Baccalaureate Diploma in the Sixth Form.
The school’s campus is in Schwabing-Freimann, north of Munich city center, with good access to the U6 metro line and A9 motorway. Munich, Germany’s third-largest city and Bavaria's capital, offers a vibrant cultural scene, a large international community, and numerous travel and outdoor opportunities.
We are seeking a qualified Secondary German Teacher to teach German as a first or second language. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, experienced, enthusiastic, and passionate about inspiring pupils.
Fluency in English, familiarity with the English National Curriculum, and a valid teaching qualification are required. A degree in education (e.g., B.Ed./M.Ed./Lehramt) or a postgraduate teaching certificate (e.g., PGCE) is necessary. English language teaching certificates are not sufficient.
Applicants should be flexible, supportive of team members, and eager to contribute to the school's extracurricular and pastoral activities. German teachers play a key role in monitoring pupil development, tracking progress, and communicating with parents.
Applications must be submitted through the TES online portal, including a copy of your degree certificate and teaching qualification.
The closing date for applications is Sunday, 16th July. Outstanding candidates may be contacted before this date.
St George’s is committed to safeguarding children and creating an inclusive environment. Successful applicants will undergo enhanced background checks.
