Job Description:

We are expanding our Financial Engineering team at Scalable and are looking for backend developers to focus on deploying data products and developing software solutions. Responsibilities include creating and enhancing our next-generation wealth management and regulatory risk controlling systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in our tech stack, with Python as the primary language, and experience with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, SNS, ECS, and Step Functions. Knowledge of Docker, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure managed via Terraform is essential. A comprehensive understanding of various databases is also crucial.

• Design and build innovative platforms using modern software development practices such as agile, CI/CD, test automation, and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with motivated software engineers and quant developers to implement changes in the financial industry.
• Develop and maintain high-performance monitoring tools for regulatory purposes (e.g., Datadog, Metabase, Dash).
• Select appropriate tools for storing, processing, and visualizing large datasets from diverse sources.
• Write clean, testable, maintainable, and well-documented code, prioritizing security.
• Design interfaces with internal services to connect asset allocation engines with external systems.
• Build cloud-native solutions to process high volumes of financial data.
• Create next-generation wealth management and brokerage services accessible to all.

Qualifications:

• Degree in computer science, mathematics, natural sciences, or similar.
• 5+ years of backend experience in Python.
• Experience with Java/Kotlin is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services.
• Proficiency with Docker, Git, and RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge in data-driven business applications.
• Interest and exposure to Python, DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, SQL, and asynchronous architectures.
• Solid Python development and design skills.
