Job Description

New Business Development Manager, Germany

Location: Germany

Language Requirements: Fluent in English and German

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated New Business Development Manager to grow profitable sales in new accounts. You will focus on converting profitable net new business at new accounts and delivering application excellence through trial execution and attrition prevention.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Act as a "hunter": seek new opportunities at target accounts, prioritized by the Sales Director, and introduce new customers to Buckman.
  2. Collaborate with new customers to define success criteria and KPIs for trials.
  3. Develop Evaluation and Transition Plans to ensure successful setup and trials.
  4. Execute on-site trials and provide critical support to ensure their success.
  5. Manage the trial lifecycle, including setup, equipment, data collection, and customer value confirmation.
  6. Serve as a trusted advisor and SME, assisting in upskilling frontline sales.
  7. Provide technical expertise on complex challenges and critical applications to mitigate attrition risk.
  8. Maintain knowledge of Buckman’s product portfolio, including new products from R&D.
  9. Balance trial management with bringing expertise to existing accounts, including attrition prevention.
  10. Support health checks with customers.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business.
  2. At least 6 years of experience in new business development.
  3. Experience in Tissue sales within Germany.
  4. Industry knowledge.
  5. Hunter personality with the ability to build long-term customer relationships.
  6. Excellent communication skills and self-presentation.
  7. Goal-oriented with a positive attitude.
