Valiant is looking for a Temporary Full-Time experienced Logistics Technician to join our professional team at Grafenwoehr Training Area (GTA), Germany providing support to the Mission Training Complex Capabilities Program (MTCCS). The ideal candidate will act as a key operational, administrative and customer service contact for Logistics operations at the JMSC warehouse. This position performs logistic operations-based administrative and warehouse duties and participates in simulation system deployments tasks, and other tasks as assigned by the Program Lead.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Set-up facilities and conduct quality assurance checks to support military training Maintain facility and equipment schedules
  • Attend exercise or event planning and preparation meetings
  • Prepare periodic facility and equipment reports for the contract and government reporting
  • Issue/Receive facilities and equipment
  • Conduct periodic property inventories in accordance with AR 735-5 and local policies and procedures
  • Coordinate maintenance for equipment
  • Maintain accurate site profiles(s) & record keeping system(s) of equipment inventory
  • Ensure the implementation and enforcement of security procedures
  • Package equipment for shipment by the Government Identify equipment deficiencies
  • Travel to site locations to conduct periodic inventories and inspections
  • Attends annual and job training and certifications as required
  • Signs for and distributes UPS/FedEx/DHL or similarly delivered packages
  • Performs general clerical duties to include, but not limited to, copying, faxing, mailing, and filing
  • Projects a professional company image through in-person and remote interaction
  • Interacts professionally with clients, customers, vendors and visitors
  • Assists in the maintenance of an office calendar to coordinate work flow and meetings
  • Other duties as assigned by the Technical Logistics Lead and/or Program Manager

Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • This position does not qualify as a Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) or Ordinary Resident (OR).
  • Applicants must as a SOFA Dependent.
  • Good reading, writing, analytical, and problem‐solving skills
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, planning, records management, and general administration.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, telephone systems, typewriters, calculators, copiers, and facsimile machines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to work well either alone or as part of a team

Desired Qualifications :

  • Experience in property accountability and customer service support
  • Demonstrated practical experience in the area(s) of expertise required in the Performance Work Statement.
  • Familiarity with Battalion and higher military command posts exercises
  • Knowledge of AR 735-5 procedures and use of Property Book Unit Supply
  • General knowledge of military administrative procedures

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Associate’s degree and three years of relevant experience or 5 years of relevant experience

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to obtain andmaintaina security clearance and meet other eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Position: Office environment, occasionally outdoors. Occasional exposure to natural conditions existing at different locationsaround the US.

Work Week: Monday-Friday (may vary based on mission requirements)

Work Hours: 0800 - 1700 (may vary based on mission requirements)

Overtime: As Required

Travel:As Required
