The Central Europe Finance Team, part of Europe, provides financial planning, analysis, and decision support to Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, and Austria. We serve as the liaison for finance activities and insights related to these areas.

2024 will be a critical and exciting year for the team, as Central Europe executes its strategy to grow its business, launch new products, decrease cash penetration by accelerating the shift to ecommerce, and increase demand for contactless payments.

This role is responsible for ensuring Account Executives prepare robust investment proposals and pricing packages to be offered by Visa Europe to new and existing customers in the cluster. The role involves anticipating issues with proposals, ensuring sound assumptions, and engaging directly with clients when necessary to clarify requirements. The person will communicate complex client requirements, portfolio analysis, and summary findings to stakeholders across the Cluster, Region, and HQ.

This hands-on role requires strong commercial acumen and a willingness to challenge the status quo to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and performance.

The role holder will be a member of the Finance Team for the CE cluster.

What we expect of you
  1. Apply knowledge of market financials and client economics to deal negotiations.
  2. Help develop and prepare commercial terms and input assumptions.
  3. Support review of deal and scenario modeling.
  4. Provide commercial challenge to AE sales teams and explore new financial incentive structures.
  5. Support and develop AEs' knowledge of deal financials.
  6. Ensure the financial integrity of contracts.
  7. Support CIA accounting, incentive forecasts, actuals, and budgets, including variance comments.
  8. Track deal performance and organize timely payments to clients.
  9. Understand and analyze client profitability and deal performance.
  10. Provide ad-hoc analysis on deals, clients, markets, and competition.

This is a hybrid position. Employees can alternate between remote work and the office, typically working 2-3 days a week on-site, with a general expectation of being in the office at least 50% of the time based on business needs.
