Legal Counsel (d/f/m)

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Legal Counsel to support the Military Aircraft programme line and protect its legal interests. The role involves being a primary contact for legal and contractual matters related to Air Services and Research, with a focus on German Defence Procurement Law, under the supervision of the Head of Legal Combat A/C and Air Services.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Providing legal counsel during international tendering and advising on contractual issues in multinational military aircraft projects
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts such as sales, supplier, licensing, confidentiality, and cooperation agreements
• Assessing the legal validity of claims from and against clients, suppliers, and partners
• Identifying legal risks in commercial contracts and industrial setups for large international projects
• Delivering legal training and supporting the development of standard contractual documents
• Participating in team coordination tasks and travel as required for business needs

Desired skills and qualifications

• Second State Exam (Volljurist) in German Law with distinction
• Additional UK or US law degree focusing on Business Law is advantageous
• Significant legal experience, ideally from a top international law firm or multinational corporation
• Experience advising on international defence programs
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• International work experience
• Fluent in German and English; Spanish proficiency is a plus
