WORK LOCATION I FRANKFURT

The IT Manager DE & AT is responsible for overseeing all IT operations in Germany and Austria, including systems, networks, applications, and telecommunications. Reporting to the Country CEO and Head of IT CEMEA, this role ensures that all IT services are maintained and improved to meet the strategic needs of the business. The role involves managing teams, leading projects, implementing new solutions, and ensuring IT compliance and financial management.

Your Tasks

• IT Management: Ensure smooth operation of IT systems, networks, and applications. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for users, while also managing hardware and software upgrades
• Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of IT professionals and contractors, ensuring effective project management for the integration and implementation of new solutions.
• Technological Strategy: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and provide recommendations to enhance business operations
• Project Management: Plan and coordinate IT projects, managing timelines, costs, and resources to ensure successful completion
• Financial Oversight: Prepare and manage the IT department’s budget, forecast expenditures, and negotiate with suppliers
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to Swissport’s IT standards, policies, and security protocols
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• 2-5 years of experience as an IT Manager or Lead IT, preferably in a matrix organization
• Certification or experience with ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF, PMI, or PRINCE2 is an advantage
• Good project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple work streams, and to work both hands on and conceptually as needed
• Proven ability to manage complex IT projects and deliver on time and within budget
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills in English and German are a must
• Ability to travel between Swissport sites in the region, with overnight stays when required
