This position reports to
Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality customer service, planning and executing service work according to customer orders and expectations. You will showcase your expertise by ensuring customer retention through effective communication of service work timelines and expectations. The work model for this role is remote. This position contributes to the Electrification Smart Power division in Northern Virginia. Your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Working with the customer (on-site) to identify opportunities for operational improvements and pain point elimination.
  2. Performing field service tasks, diagnosing technical issues, and conducting analysis through remote or on-site activities within your certified service categories and products.
  3. Preparing material lists needed for service activities and ensuring all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality.
  4. Acting as a trainer for field service associates and customers when needed.
Qualifications for the role
  • Associates Degree or Technical School training.
  • 5 years of experience in servicing critical power equipment, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Broad experience in Field Service or related roles focusing on Critical Power Systems (Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Power Distribution, Static Switch Batteries, and Power Conditioning Systems).
  • Experience with Medium Voltage power conditioning and distribution equipment is a plus.
  • Must have existing work authorization to work for ABB in the US.

The expected salary range for this position is $49,400 to $91,600 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
