A European e-bike powertain component and systems subsidiary of a significant Indian multi-national in the 2W sector is hiring a business developer to be based in Frankfurt.

Join them in creating solutions for a sustainable future of mobility right from ideation, designing, manufacturing, and sales.As a Business Developer you'll make first contact, follow up and learn everything about the customer that can be learnt.

As every customer will have different needs, prioritisation and expectation management will be important as well as constant communication with the development and manufacturing team.

What will you be doing :

  • Contacting potential clients and establishing relationships through meetings
  • Researching organisations and individuals to find new opportunities
  • Increasing the value of current customers (up-selling) while attracting new ones
  • Finding and developing new markets and improving sales
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
  • Developing quotes and proposals for clients
  • Developing goals for business growth and ensuring that they are met
  • Driving customer satisfaction and retention
  • Engaging with customers for service and marketing needs
  • Assembling bicycles
  • Ensuring that the development team receives cohesive and measurable feedback for new product development.

You have :

  • Education in sales or bachelor's / master's degree in international business, economics, sales management, or similar field
  • Knowledge in business development or sales, preferably in the cycling industry
  • Strong ability to understand and communicate customer needs
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, high levels of motivation with the determination of closing a deal
  • Experience in managing B2B relationships
  • Ability to handle several concurrent customers
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities keeping cultural differences in mind
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle for transport of equipment to off-site locations.
  • Proficiency in English and German language
  • Ability to travel internationally and between cities
  • Understanding of principles of intellectual property ownership and confidentiality.
