Summary of the role

Your primary role as Senior Manager, Information Systems, SAP – FICO (m/f/d) is to manage talent, processes, projects, and stakeholders. The role will also have functional ownership of the FICO area in SAP.

Role and Responsibilities

Managing talent includes:

• Attract, develop, and lead a world-class IT Enterprise applications organization; develop a team culture of innovation, collaboration, and ongoing improvement.
• Monitor resource capacity and demand to ensure optimal resource utilization and project staffing.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment where experimentation, learning, and adaptation are encouraged.
• Set clear goals and objectives for the team and provide guidance for their professional development.

Managing projects and IS delivery includes:

• Collaborate with PMO and COE to deliver project objectives, timelines, prioritization, and implementation plans, ensuring cost-effective, quality, and timely delivery of high-quality IT solutions.
• Provide expert functional knowledge in the FICO and other areas of SAP.
• Develop a strong understanding of finance business requirements.
• Ensure the project management system is timely and consistently updated to reflect project statuses.
• Responsible for the assignment of projects, project tasks, support desk tickets within the functional area.
• Ensure integration with other functional areas and collaborate effectively with other teams.

Functional Ownership means:

• Establishing a functional baseline for the FICO area.
• Maintaining current knowledge of SAP innovations and new functionalities in S/4HANA.
• Understanding the capabilities and limitations of SAP software.
• Driving the implementation of standard processes while meeting customer needs.
• Promoting continuous improvement and simplification in designing, reviewing, and approving solutions.
• Supporting the development and execution of an SAP roadmap.

The candidate must have an expert understanding of the assigned functional or technical area and a good understanding of interrelationships with other functional areas, striving to stay current on new technology developments.

Have a good understanding of end-to-end process flows involving FICO, with cross-functional awareness.

Prepare and present regular status reports and dashboards to executive leadership, providing insights into project status, risks & issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business needs, priorities, and expectations. Support the development of business cases and project charters.

Ensure strategic alignment through prioritization, resource capacity management, key result tracking, and program management to achieve strategic goals.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in the SAP FICO module in ECC and S/4HANA.
• Participation in at least one successful migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science, Finance, Math, Engineering, or a related technical/business field.
• Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in Information Systems, with 8 years in business applications.
• At least 5 years managing an SAP FICO team.
• Project management skills are preferred, with a strong understanding of international financial requirements.
