About the job
As a Global Sourcing Manager, you will be a member of a highly engaged global procurement team. You will drive the sourcing strategy for new key technologies, working alongside senior stakeholders in research & development and business units.
What you will do
New Product Introduction (NPI) - Bill of Materials (BOM)
Report to project team (both sourcing team and key stakeholders): marketing & benchmarking data on Front End Manufacturing BOM related technologies (Silicon Carbide, Gallium Nitride and other new product fields) based on key suppliers, market shares, technology capabilities and price trends
Develop robust sourcing strategies (multiple supplier chain for risk and cost management, short and long term management) and manage stakeholders and project team to align on and push forward these sourcing strategies
Develop Material flows and Supply Chains to ensure a Continuous Improvement philosophy is adopted
Secure Long-Term agreements (LTAs) with Supplier partners, and nurture supplier relationships whilst making sure a fully aligned Supplier Development Plan is actively delivered
Scout and purchase BOM samples for R&D sample building up or technical studies
Collaborate closely with the commodities team
Comply with policies and processes and contribute to our Continuous Improvement philosophy
Other related activities for BOM
NPI – Research & Development (R&D) contracts
Collaborate with stakeholders to perform market analysis (engineering markets, cost levels for material-based contracts, etc.)
Scout and purchase R&D contracts (Design Outsourcing Contracts, Joint Development Contracts with universities or other technical institutions, etc.)
NPI – Equipment Parts Service (EPS) for Front End (FE) Manufacturing
Scout and purchase of EPS
Focus on new equipment and spare parts for front-end manufacturing
Perform market analysis, ensure multiple supplier chain for risk and cost management, perform commercial comparison, Total cost of Ownership (TCOO) evaluation to select vendors and tools model
NPI - Take a role
Act as Project Manager, Sourcing Owner or Project Member. This also involves the opportunity to lead a team in the future
Communicate and negotiate in a proactive, independent manner to effectively and thoughtfully manage the best Total cost of Ownership (TCOO)
Work closely together with European R&D communities
What you will need
University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering or similar
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in a Global Procurement Environment
Experience in category management and developing a sourcing strategy from scratch
Procurement experience in a tech-based manufacturing environment (Automotive, Semiconductor, etc.)
Semiconductor experience and knowledge of Silicon Carbide (SiC) or Gallium Nitride (GaN) technologies is a plus
High independent work ethic and the desire to work on greenfield projects
Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills and leading by example
Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint presentation and data analytics skills
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills on an international level
Strong ambition and skill to quickly adapt to a global and dynamic working environment
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; Chinese language skills are beneficial
