Position:

PhD – Plasma Torch Simulation Engineer (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:
  • Design and simulate plasma torches for industrial applications.
  • Run OpenFOAM Solver simulations for various scenarios.
  • Estimate thermodynamic and transport properties of plasma using statistical mechanics.
  • Develop numerical models for plasma torches using software like OpenFOAM or Code_saturne.
  • Collaborate with experimental teams to validate and improve models.
Qualifications:
  • PhD or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of numerical methods and plasma physics.
  • Experience with numerical simulations using OpenFOAM or similar software.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ or Python.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Proficiency in English; French or German is a plus.
