Job Description:

REMOTE ONLY POSITION

Duties: Accurately interprets messages between non-English speaking patients and healthcare providers or support personnel on-site. Adheres to the National Standards of Practice for Interpreters in Health Care and to the National Code of Ethics for Interpreters in Health Care. Must always maintain patient confidentiality.

Qualifications Needed:

• Minimum of 3 years interpreting experience (preferable)
• OPI/VRI
• National or State Interpreter Certification such as CHI, CMI, NIC, CI/CT, VQAS (if available in your language)
• Knowledge of Medical, Educational, and social services terminology in source and target language
• 40 hours or more interpreter training
• Good interpersonal skills, customer service, time management, and basic computer skills
• Fluency in English and the target language with test results available
• Working computer, headset, and high-speed internet connection
