The Opportunity :

Machinix.io is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Executive to spearhead our expansion in the photonics industry in Germany. Your primary focus will be on acquiring new customers, managing the full sales cycle, and fostering long-term relationships that lead to serial production orders. This is a sales-first role where your ability to connect with prospects, understand their needs, and articulate the value of our service will be paramount. You will be supported by our expert technical solutions and costing engineers for the technical aspects of the quoting process.

Your Responsibilities Will Include :

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation : Actively identify and contact new potential customers within the German manufacturing sector, with an emphasis on the photonics industry.
  • Consultative Selling & Platform Demonstration : Clearly articulate how Machinix.io's digital platform simplifies and accelerates the sourcing of their custom machined parts. Understand prospect needs, and effectively demonstrate how our integrated solution—combining an intuitive and fast online experience with expert manufacturing and reliable delivery—results in their success.
  • Nurturing Relationships : Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with prospects and customers, guiding them through the sales funnel.
  • Quotation Management : Collaborate closely with our technical solutions and costing engineers powered by our AI tools to deliver fast, accurate and competitive quotes to customers.
  • Sales Cycle Management : Drive the full sales cycle from initial contact and qualification through to negotiation, closing orders, and ensuring a smooth transition for ongoing account growth.
  • Account Growth & Serial Production : Strategically develop client accounts, identifying and cultivating opportunities for serial production orders.
  • Market Feedback : Gather and relay market insights, customer feedback, and competitor information to contribute to our product and sales strategy.
  • Achieve Sales Targets : Consistently meet and exceed defined sales goals and KPIs.

What You Bring to the Table (Qualifications) :

  • Exceptional Sales Acumen : You are a proven B2B sales professional (3-5+ years of experience) with a strong hunter mentality, excellent negotiation skills, and a track record of closing deals, preferably in the German photonics or digital-tech sectors.
  • Communication Prowess : Native or business-fluent German and fluent English language skills, with outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation abilities.
  • Tech-Savvy & Solution-Oriented : Comfortable with digital tools and platforms; you have a strong aptitude for understanding how technology can solve business problems and can clearly articulate these benefits. While deep manufacturing / CNC machining expertise is not a primary requirement (our technical team will support you), an ability to grasp technical concepts related to custom parts is important.
  • Photonics Industry Knowledge (Advantage) : Familiarity or experience with the photonics industry is a significant advantage but not a strict necessity.
  • Self-Starter & Team Player : Highly self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote environment, while also collaborating effectively with internal teams (technical solutions, costing, order fulfillment).
  • Relationship Builder : Skilled in building rapport and trust with diverse stakeholders, from engineers to procurement managers.
  • CRM Proficiency : Experienced in using CRM software to manage sales pipelines and customer interactions.
