Your Job

  • Ensure strategic procurement processes, demand management, formal tenders, evaluation of offers, contract negotiations and proposal for contract award and implementation.
  • Develop and implement effective, partnering ways of working within the category management structure across geographic regions (e.g. with local category managers) to ensure a cohesive global approach.
  • Improve and develop the sub-category strategy at a global level with the stakeholder
  • Support the Global Category Manager in the development of sourcing, supplier and risk strategies as well as the process value chain
  • Leverage category and market expertise for sourcing categories
  • Engage and build strategic relationships with key internal stakeholders and main suppliers
  • Support and drive digitization of processes and user satisfaction with tools (Coupa)
  • Ensure global interaction with global HR and procurement network within Munich Re Group (e.g. ERGO, MEAG)

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, engineering, supply chain management or similar professional education
  • Target oriented, highly motivated and committed
  • Extensive and relevant procurement experience or proven track record in related roles
  • Knowledge of consulting and professional services markets and systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and solution-oriented skills
  • High level of service and customer focus
  • Curiosity to explore new topics and knowledge into results
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in German and English and willingness to work in an international environment
