Junior Recruiter
The Junior Recruiter will support Tilray’s hiring strategy to identify and retain employees in this emerging industry. This includes collaborating with hiring managers to identify hiring needs, recruiting management and professional positions, managing the applicant tracking system for current vacancies, prescreening applicants, scheduling interviews, and tracking candidates throughout the recruitment and onboarding processes. The successful candidate will utilize their recruitment experience to source candidates, attend career fairs, develop candidate attraction solutions, and build a network of potential passive and active candidates through proactive sourcing and networking.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to create effective partnerships, ensuring high service standards for candidates and managers.
- Review candidate resumes and identify suitable candidates for interviews.
- Conduct in-person and phone interviews with candidates.
- Build and maintain a network of potential candidates through proactive sourcing, networking, and participation in career fairs.
- Manage the applicant tracking system to input data, track vacancy statuses, and streamline processes. Recommend innovative talent attraction strategies to meet current and future needs. Conduct prescreen interviews, reference checks, and background checks as required.
- Follow up on candidate statuses and recruitment outcomes.
- Manage recruitment processes for multiple positions, including offer letters, transferring records, and maintaining personnel files. Report on recruitment results and analyze data for trends and needs.
- Prepare application, vacancy, and job fair materials, ensuring availability for visitors and sending materials to applicants as needed.
- Coordinate with third-party recruitment agencies as required.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of recruitment experience.
- Exceptional organizational skills and resilience in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Experience with social/digital campaigns and sourcing strategies to attract candidates.
- Excellent listening, questioning, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proactive in identifying issues and opportunities, analyzing data, and developing solutions.
- Demonstrates integrity, ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Strong interpersonal skills supporting teamwork, collaboration, good judgment, and diplomacy.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
