The incumbent, as a professional engineer, is responsible for the preparation, planning, and review of projects and studies conducted by in-house personnel, Engineer (AE) firms, Corps of Engineers, and/or Bauamt in electrical engineering. The role requires applying broad engineering knowledge to review or execute a wide range of studies and assignments.
Explanations of E&T Levels can be found at the link "Description of the Education & Training Levels". E&T Levels I-IV are not creditable for this series. E&T Level V requires graduates from a recognized German institution such as a Fachhochschule, Berufsakademie, or Technische Hochschule, fully recognized to practice engineering in Germany. Foreign applicants must obtain equivalent certification from German authorities.

This is a permanent full-time position (38.5 hrs/week) based at Grafenwöhr, with possible reassignment within the same area. Occasional TDY within Germany may be required. Telework options are available on an ad-hoc basis.
Applicants must present a Police Good Conduct Certificate upon appointment. Non-US citizens, except Germans, are exempt from this requirement. Additionally, new employees must present two valid ID documents, such as a Personal ID, Passport, or EU Driver's License, for system access. Background checks will be conducted within three days of employment, and failure to pass may result in termination.
