As a Strategic Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving projects to transform our IT system landscape in alignment with our business processes. You will be challenged to simultaneously use your understanding of business processes as well as IT system architecture to steer the transformation together with other Project Managers and stakeholders. Success in this role depends on your outstanding capacity for abstraction and problem-solving skills.

  1. Taking responsibility for the analysis and coordination of the elaboration of global processes and requirements in alignment with business representatives of the ZEISS Consumer Markets segment and IT experts.
  2. Ensuring business-side implementation of the entire distributed IT and process architecture, including S/4 HANA, within time and budget based on appropriate effort, cost, and time planning.
  3. Leading the governance for the alignment of specification, standardization, and customization needs.
  4. Driving the evaluation and incorporation of the defined processes into ZEISS Global Templates.
  5. Monitoring the implementation to identify deviations and initiate necessary countermeasures.
  6. Considering and integrating local (especially legal) needs and requirements in the global implementation of the ZEISS Global Templates.
  7. Assuring and steering regular alignment of this transformation with other ongoing processes and key projects within the ZEISS Segment Consumer Markets.

Minimum qualifications include:

  1. Excellent degree from a leading university in engineering, business, or computer science.
  2. Strong experience in change management and complex transformation projects.
  3. At least 3 years of experience and a proven track record in leading medium to large-scale process implementation programs with multi-software, cloud solutions, and SAP, ideally in industry and consulting environments.
  4. Experience with programs focused on SAP S/4 HANA as well as non-SAP processes in a distributed micro-service-based cloud environment.
  5. Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills, ideally also in German.
  6. Comprehensive understanding of the overall SAP and non-SAP landscape, including interdependencies between modules and cross-functional integration.
  7. Ability to deal with different stakeholders on requirements regarding standardization and customization needs.
  8. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, reduce complexity, and maintain focus.
  9. Strong experience in mentoring, skill building, and advanced training.
  10. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging, and uncertain environment.
