The department Grinding Sourcing Europe is searching for an Expediting and Logistic Specialist (m/f/d) . Location is Düsseldorf.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the connection between our business lines and suppliers, overseeing transportation, customs activities, procurement, delivery tracking, and monitoring overall supplier performance.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Establish effective coordination between Metso Outotec Business Lines and Grinding Suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with all requirements prior to dispatching deliveries and follow the project from kick-off to shipment.
• Take charge of all transport operations and ensure proper planning for dispatch.
• Continuously assess available capacity and monitor workload at suppliers.
• Manage project planning, monitor progress, and expedite activities at suppliers within the region.
• Enhance suppliers' delivery performance to achieve global On-Time Delivery targets.
• Utilize Metso Outotec tools effectively in daily operations.
• Prepare and submit reports on key performance indicators to Management, leveraging the results to drive strategic direction and process improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Logistics.
• Experience in both logistics and expediting/procurement.
• Proficient in reading and speaking English at a professional level.
• Strong customer focus with the ability to balance quality and delivery.
• Familiarity with business tools such as SAP ERP, Sievo, and Jaggaer direct is a plus.
• Willingness to travel globally, including extended stays and short-notice trips.
• This position requires approximately 50% domestic and international travel within the EU.
