A leading Japanese IT company is currently looking for an experienced Engineer who can support customers’ system integration and other various infrastructure needs.

You will be responsible for mainly 2nd line support for multiple Japanese business customers.

Business level English is required, and proficiency in German or Japanese is advantageous.

Position Details:

• Type: Permanent, full-time
• Working hours: Between 8:00 to 9:00 start, 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday
• Salary: Up to €40K - €60K depending on experience
• Start: ASAP
• Location: Munich office (Work from home, 3 days per week available)

Responsibilities:

• 1st and 2nd level support for customer-specific systems
• Dealing with customers from a technical perspective
• Defining requirements to design networks, specify specifications, and create BOM
• Project management
• Setting up, configuring, and implementing equipment at customer premises, our office, or remotely
• Providing technical and engineering assistance as needed
• Server and PC installation following company directives
• Managing Active Directory at customer sites
• Planning, installing, and supporting customer IT infrastructure
• Consulting and installing network, firewall, and internet access
• Remote and on-site support for customers
• Supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft OS and office applications
• Monitoring and maintaining customer internet connectivity, network, and server systems
• Coordinating with IT personnel abroad
• Defining standards for lifecycle management and problem prevention

Essential Skills:

• Excellent technical skills, especially in server, security, and cloud transformation
• At least 5 years of work experience in IT
• Interest in working for a Japanese company with an international team
• Service-oriented mindset
• Highly reliable and organized
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Flexible with new tasks
• Business-level English skills

Desirable:

• Prior experience at an IT service provider is highly preferred
