This position is a PART TIME 0436 Teacher, ESL (Elementary) position (see Position Requirements) for Sembach Elementary School in Sembach, Germany, Europe Central District. This vacancy is for the 25/26 school year.

All candidates must reside within the local commuting area, defined as the geographic area surrounding the work site where people can reasonably travel daily to work.
To qualify, you must meet the education requirements below:
A valid fully professional state teaching license in content areas or the state's equivalent will be accepted as fulfilling all professional teaching certification requirements. The license must be unencumbered. Alternatively, the Praxis I and II or seven years of teaching at the PreK-12 level can substitute for an unencumbered license, provided all minimum education and qualification standards are met. Military spouse preference under the MSLRA will be considered for encumbered licenses.
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution is required, with at least 40 semester hours in general education courses across various fields, and a minimum of 18 semester hours in professional teacher education courses.
Required as part of an approved teacher education program. In the absence of such, one year of full-time employment as an educator may be credited.
A major in ESL or at least 24 semester hours in ESL, including courses like applied linguistics, sociolinguistics, and language development, is required. Additionally, at least 6 semester hours in ESL teaching methodology are necessary.
