Job Responsibilities

1. Act as BaFin-appointed Compliance officer for MaComp- and MaRisk-Compliance and Single Safeguarding Officer
2. Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance policies, procedures, controls, and frameworks. Regularly review and update these to align with regulatory changes and industry best practices.
3. Engage cross-functionally as well as with internal and external auditors to implement a best-in-class compliance management program, in line with regulatory standards and industry best practices
4. Coordinate compliance-related projects with internal teams and external partners. Lead the development and enhancement of compliance processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
5. Act as advisor and strategic partner to senior management, providing expert compliance insights and guidance to support decision-making and drive the organization's strategic initiatives.
6. Provide strategic leadership, management, and guidance to the Compliance team. Foster a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and collaboration. Mentor and develop team members to achieve their professional goals.

Qualifications

1. University degree in law, business administration or related field
2. Several years of professional experience in a comparable role in the financial services industry
3. In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, such as MiFID 2, WpHG, KWG, MaComp and MaRisk
4. Adequate leadership experience
5. Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively
6. Ability to navigate in a fast-paced environment and to apply a pragmatic, risk-based approach
7. Business fluency in German and English
