Job Responsibilities
- Act as BaFin-appointed Compliance officer for MaComp- and MaRisk-Compliance and Single Safeguarding Officer
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance policies, procedures, controls, and frameworks. Regularly review and update these to align with regulatory changes and industry best practices.
- Engage cross-functionally as well as with internal and external auditors to implement a best-in-class compliance management program, in line with regulatory standards and industry best practices
- Coordinate compliance-related projects with internal teams and external partners. Lead the development and enhancement of compliance processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Act as advisor and strategic partner to senior management, providing expert compliance insights and guidance to support decision-making and drive the organization's strategic initiatives.
- Provide strategic leadership, management, and guidance to the Compliance team. Foster a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and collaboration. Mentor and develop team members to achieve their professional goals.
Qualifications
- University degree in law, business administration or related field
- Several years of professional experience in a comparable role in the financial services industry
- In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, such as MiFID 2, WpHG, KWG, MaComp and MaRisk
- Adequate leadership experience
- Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively
- Ability to navigate in a fast-paced environment and to apply a pragmatic, risk-based approach
- Business fluency in German and English
