Jobbeschreibung

University degree and a minimum of 5 years of direct regulatory experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, are required.

Preference is given to candidates with technical backgrounds such as Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.

Additional beneficial qualifications include minor or relevant coursework in Technical Writing, Business Administration, or Computer Programming.

Must demonstrate a background in International Transportation, Logistics, Customs Compliance, or Import/Export regulatory compliance, with at least 7 years of Global Trade Compliance experience.

Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English and German are essential.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite and excellent computer skills are required.

Knowledge of European Union trade regulations and processes, including EU, UK, and US trade regulations, is necessary.

Experience in the Aerospace or Defense industry is preferred.

Experience with SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) is required.

This position is based at Textron Aviation's Cessna Dusseldorf Citation Service Center GmbH (CDCSC) and involves collaboration across European sites to ensure compliance with export/import regulations and support international business activities. The role reports to the Director of Trade Compliance and interfaces with various departments.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Act as the central contact for trade and customs issues within the Textron Aviation European Service Center network.
  • Create and implement a European-centric Import/Export Control framework.
  • Manage export/import authorization applications and oversee transactions.
  • Represent Textron Aviation in interactions with federal agencies, including audits.
  • Design and manage a customs compliance program, including audits and policy development.
  • Review EU and national export control laws for product classification and licensing.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure compliance on imports, including tariff classification and valuation.
  • Maintain and validate customs master data and tariff codes.

Additional duties include:

  • Review and approve international travel and visitors.
  • Develop and deliver ongoing import/export training for staff.
  • Prioritize risk resolution and compliance data management.

Required Experience:

Managerial experience in trade compliance or related fields.
