Essential Job Functions :

1. In collaboration with DTO Intelligent Automation leadership and key staff members, develop site-specific Intelligent Automation roadmaps inclusive of digital solutions, machine learning, and the ability to leverage commonality of technical solutions across other sites.
2. Design and implement process optimization strategies with DTO Intelligent Automation technical systems engineers to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle time, and improve product quality.
3. Work closely with manufacturing site teams to analyze and evaluate existing processes, identify improvements, and recommend technological solutions. Complete process concepts, project charters, business justifications, risk analyses, feasibility studies, automation FAT, SAT, and validation.
4. Design and execute laboratory experiments, pilot studies, and manage technology transfer activities. Oversee external contractors and vendors for process development and transfer projects.
5. Collaborate to develop and implement playbooks for automation technology solutions.
6. Provide technical support and troubleshooting to resolve process issues, improve equipment effectiveness, and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
7. Maintain strong relationships across departments to ensure strategy alignment and goal achievement.
8. Mentor and develop engineering capabilities, including skills assessment, training, and support for automation technology evolution.
9. Drive value through automation solutions by increasing asset utilization, improving OEE, optimizing labor, and reducing costs.
10. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in scientific and technical fields.

Required Education and Experience :

1. BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing/Process, or Computer Engineering.
2. At least 15 years of progressive engineering experience in manufacturing, automation, technology transfer, or related fields, preferably in regulated industries.
3. Minimum of 5 years in Intelligent Automation solutions including machine learning, vision systems, controls, robotics, AI, and data analytics.
4. Strong knowledge of process optimization, lean principles, Six Sigma, and statistical analysis.
5. Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
7. Travel requirement: 25-30%.

Preferred Education and Experience :

1. MS in Mechanical, Manufacturing/Process, or Computer Engineering.
2. Project Management or Industry 4.0 certification.
3. Proficiency in process analysis, modeling, simulation software, and statistical tools.
4. Experience with process improvement methodologies and automation/control systems.
