Job Description:

Our client, an internationally operating insurance group in Cologne, is currently seeking a Data Scientist (m/w/d) for a remote position:

• Start: 18.11.2024
• End: 28.02.2025 (with extension option)
• Workload: 40h, full-time
• Location: 100% remote
• Contract type: project-based permanent employment (agency work)

Responsibilities:

• Rebuild and unify reporting for two different damage processing systems on the Snowflake platform, covering multiple dimensions.
• Create a central data basis for cross-system views on workflows, performance, and forecasts.
• Develop reporting in PowerBI.
• Verify data availability, validate, and document data categorizations and filters.
• Automate data provisioning for reporting.

Profile:

• Proficient with Snowflake, data processing, and setup processes.
• Strong SQL skills, especially in Snowflake environment.
• Experience connecting Power BI to Snowflake and delivering reports.
• Expertise in data preparation within Power BI and its security features.
• Preferably, Python experience for worksheet development.
• Familiar with Git/GitHub and security concepts to ensure secure reporting.
• Experience with Big Data and structured working methods.
• Insurance industry experience is a plus.
