Solution Architect - German Mission Network (m/w/d)

Start immediately, full-time or part-time, nationwide at one of our BWI locations.

The Shared Service Architecture division handles delivery-specific solution development and is responsible for the technical design of complex, cross-cutting, and comprehensive IT solutions within the service lines. The focus is on designing and conceptualizing secure, cost-effective IT solutions tailored to customer requirements, leveraging the capabilities of delivery units. Our strength lies in our well-trained staff, specialized in one or more technology topics, working collaboratively in virtual teams with various stakeholders to shape and develop the IT infrastructure for our clients. The main activities involve developing solutions within the German Mission Network project and creating highly automated, virtualized platforms for deploying mission-critical applications for the Bundeswehr.

• Designing solution options for deploying portable data center components to operate an automated platform for Bundeswehr applications in deployment scenarios.
• Conceptualizing backend architectures within different information domains to provide virtualized platforms in line with Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS).
• Designing data exchange options between portable and stationary components within a comprehensive deployment scenario.
• Developing concepts for portable data center components up to the virtualization layer.

Qualifications:

• Completed degree with a focus on IT or comparable vocational training.
• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in solution architecture as an enterprise, solution, or IT architect, or as a technical IT consultant.
• Extensive knowledge in traditional infrastructure and cloud platforms, plus expertise in at least one other technology field such as IT security, identity & access management, data center architectures, virtualization platforms, or legacy client/server structures.
• Knowledge of the IT Baseline Protection Manual and experience in requirements engineering/management (e.g., IREB).
• Proactive and communicative mindset with a strong solution-oriented approach.
