Our Financial Statements & Central Services function provides expertise for the entire Trading segment regarding IFRS segment reporting, local statutory accounts, treasury operations, accounting data services, and central SAP support.

You will be part of the Central SAP Team at RWE Supply & Trading (RWEST). The team offers SAP operation services for the Trading segment and acts as the main link to group SAP teams in RWE AG and other group companies.

You will join an international team of approximately 6 members based in the UK and Germany, with firsthand experience in SAP S/4HANA operations. The team is collaborative, social, open, and has a strong team spirit.

About the role

1. Governance and operational responsibility for commodity-related master data within SAP.
2. Serve as the main interface to external SAP IT, RWEST IT, group SAP, and Endur / Business Engineering.
3. Coordinate all SAP-related ad-hoc matters and projects within RWEST.
4. Drive improvements of the group-wide SAP solution in collaboration with SAP IT.
5. Address and execute ad-hoc requests from various business units efficiently.
6. Manage RWEST user rights in SAP.
7. Act as product owner for RWEST SAP solutions, especially MM and SD modules related to commodity invoice flows, including operational support, reporting, and stakeholder management.

Job requirements and experience

1. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
2. Background in Accounting, Back Office, and/or SAP IT.
3. Technical knowledge of SAP (FI, MM, SD) and experience in SAP change management and operational support.
4. Programming skills in process automation tools such as VBA, SQL, Python, No/Low Code scripting, UIPath, PowerAutomate, etc.
5. Basic understanding of accounting processes, SAP-related back-office processes, or data management principles.
6. Experience in project and stakeholder management across functions and operational companies.
7. Willingness to take on responsibilities in the SAP area, e.g., primary authorized requester.
8. Ability and willingness to travel internationally.
