Research Associate (m/f/d) in the section for Structural Design, Hanover

Leibniz University Hannover, located in a vibrant city surrounded by nature, offers excellent working conditions within a dynamic scientific community. We are seeking applications for a Research Associate (m/f/d) in the section for Structural Design (salary scale 13 TV-L, 50%), starting as soon as possible. This position is limited to 3 years and supports a doctoral dissertation.

Your Role

The Research Associate will participate in teaching courses offered by the Chair of Structural Design and will develop and execute individual research projects. We seek engineers with a strong interest in complex geometry, sustainable architectural structures, digital technologies, and manufacturing processes. Support for doctoral dissertations is provided.

Candidate Requirements
  • University degree in civil engineering
  • Excellent understanding of structural design, materials, and construction processes
  • Experience with modeling, simulation, and fabrication of complex structures using algorithmic methods (Rhino, Grasshopper, Python, FEM)
  • Proficiency in German and English for teaching, research, and publication
