Job Description:
MAJOR FUNCTION

The Dual Enrollment Coordinator is housed within the Admissions and Records and will report to the Director of Recruiting and Admission. The Coordinator’s role involves responsible, independent, and specialized work in dual credit programs, including program recruitment, advisement, student admission and registration, and transition activities.

Primary duties will include, but are not limited to:

Admissions, Registration and Enrollment Duties:

  • Develop yearly dual enrollment calendar and establish timelines and processes for all recruitment, enrollment, retention, and reporting tasks, including application, testing, registration, and roster deadlines.
  • Assist with the administration of Career and Technical Education (CTE) and dual enrollment programs following policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with College departments: Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Advising.
  • Build effective relations with high school personnel and facilitate the transition from high school to college; maintain student Career Pathway files and update enrollment status.
  • Work with Academic Affairs to develop and maintain a comprehensive plan for CTE and dual enrollment classes/services across communities served.
  • Supervise aspects of dual credit enrollment, including liaising with high schools, student admission, registration, and matriculation.
  • Manage class rosters, process drop/add/withdrawals, and ensure students are registered in the Student Information System.
  • Assist in generating reports on enrollment, headcount, FTE, costs, and outcomes.
  • Support the Office of Admissions and Records with grade processing and coordinate placement testing.
  • Maintain a database of dual enrollment participants for reporting on enrollment, retention, and completion.
  • Ensure records compliance with regulations and submit accurate data for state and federal reports.
  • Coordinate dual credit program events such as campus tours and orientation.

Advising Duties:

  • Assist in planning and scheduling dual enrollment courses and creating Academic Maps for high school students.

  • Understanding of FLDOE and other relevant regulations.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive data confidentially.

Minimum Training/Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution and three (3) years of related experience, including one year in a dual enrollment setting. A Master's degree is preferred and can substitute for one year of experience but not for dual enrollment experience.

Successful applicants will demonstrate: Knowledge of TCC programs, student development theory, ability to develop programming, operate a computer, communicate effectively, and work independently. Strong organizational, leadership, and computer skills are essential, as well as public speaking and supervision abilities.
