Your role

As Manager Global Innovation – Cosmetic Ingredients , you will lead the development of innovative and sustainable active ingredients, managing the entire project lifecycle from concept to final product. You will oversee a modern research laboratory and drive team development at our interdisciplinary innovation hub in Holzminden. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of our cosmetic ingredient offerings by integrating scientific research, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.

Lead the development of new, sustainable active ingredients for the cosmetic industry, ensuring alignment with market trends and regulatory requirements.

Independently manage projects from the initial idea phase to the launch of the final product.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of a modern research laboratory, ensuring high standards of scientific rigor and innovation.

Continuously develop and mentor the team to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Conduct systematic scientific research, process data, and engage in discussions to drive technical advancements.

Prepare and prosecute patents to protect new discoveries, with an emphasis on innovative and sustainable formulations.

Contribute to publications and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to communicate research findings.

Evaluate and integrate regulatory requirements to ensure product compliance with international standards.

Develop and establish new test methods to validate the efficacy and sustainability of ingredients.

Utilize your expertise in application technology, cosmetic formulations, and raw materials to optimize ingredient performance.

Apply structure-activity analysis and other modern analytical techniques to assess and improve the properties of chemical compounds.

About you

Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a closely related field. A PhD is a plus.

Experience in patent drafting and prosecution is highly desirable.

Strong experience within application technology, cosmetic formulations , and raw materials .

Sound knowledge of structure-activity analysis and other modern analytical methods for chemical compounds.

Confident use of research tools, databases, and modern scientific methods.

Strong command of standard IT systems and software, with a focus on laboratory data management and analysis.

Proven ability to work independently and manage complex projects with a structured, solution-oriented approach.

Experience in managing and coordinating cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of sustainability practices and how they apply to cosmetic ingredient development.

Familiarity with the evaluation of regulatory requirements and compliance in the cosmetic industry.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present scientific findings clearly in both written and spoken formats.

Fluent in German and English , both written and spoken, is essential for effective communication with internal teams and external partners.
