About the Innovation Impact Program
Our 18-month Graduate Program starts on [start date].
What you´ll do
- Partner with product developers and application engineers as part of our R&D team in Düsseldorf, Germany to understand technologies, data collection processes, and challenges driving the digital transformation within R&D.
- Design and conduct data analysis projects to identify trends and patterns in formulation data sets, and build and deploy machine learning models to predict formulation performance, stability, and quality.
- Collaborate closely with R&D colleagues to translate data insights into new formulations, product development decisions, and application processes, optimizing R&D workflows.
- Develop and maintain data visualization dashboards to effectively communicate insights to technical and business stakeholders.
- Leverage your digital skillset to drive awareness and application of data-based decision-making and digital tools across R&D.
- Support the digital transformation of R&D by implementing data-driven workflows for process development and knowledge management.
What makes you a good fit
- You have recently completed, or are about to complete, a Master’s or Ph.D. that combines a strong foundation in Chemistry, Engineering, or Materials Science with Data Science, Physics, Computer Science, or a related analytical field.
- You bring first hands-on experience with data analysis and modeling in scientific or engineering contexts, with a strong grasp of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms.
- You are proficient in data tools such as Python or R, DoE software like Minitab or JMP, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau). Experience with IoT, FEA, and CFD is a plus.
- You are interested in working in a laboratory environment and motivated to learn about formulations, product development, and R&D workflows.
- You enjoy collaborating with non-digital colleagues and can explain digital tools and data concepts simply and practically.
- You are interested in growing your career in Henkel’s global Innovation network, with possible relocation after the program.
- Proficiency in English is essential for working in an international environment.
