Become part of the World Health Summit team in Berlin:

We are looking for a proactive, dynamic, and creative student assistant to join the communications department of the World Health Summit. The successful candidate (f/m/d) should be a team player and excellent communicator in English and German, enrolled as a student in fields such as communications, media, public relations, health communication, public health, or policy.

About The World Health Summit

The World Health Summit is the premier international platform for global health. It brings together stakeholders from politics, science, the private sector, and civil society from around the world to set the agenda for a healthier future and well-being for all. The main conference is held each October in Berlin with around 3,000 participants on-site and more than 20,000 online. In addition, there are annual WHS Regional Meetings in different parts of the world as well as various formats throughout the year. The World Health Summit is organized and administered by the WHS Foundation GmbH, a subsidiary of Charité.

Aufgaben / What You'll Do
  • Assist in developing, drafting, managing, and scheduling content for social media (e.g., LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook), including graphics using design tools like Canva.
  • Support the creation and proofreading of written and visual content for the website, newsletter, and other communication materials.
  • Support monitoring of media coverage in national and international media outlets.
  • Conduct research on current global health topics for various publications and materials.
  • Support event communications, including drafting and editing materials for the press and our partners.
  • Assist with the maintenance of media and partner contact databases.
Profil / The Role

You will support and contribute to the tasks and projects of the communications department. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic, hands-on team working with a high-level international network from science, politics, the private sector, civil society, and media.

What We're Looking For
  • Enrolled in a relevant field of study (e.g., media, communications, public relations, public health, policy).
  • Eagerness to learn how communications work in different areas and for diverse audiences.
  • Interest in working with social media management tools (e.g., Metricool), CMS systems (e.g., Storyblok), and CRM tools (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365); prior experience is an advantage.
  • Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva) are a plus.
  • High level of organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and spoken knowledge of English and German.
  • Teamwork, quality awareness, independent, target- and service-oriented working style.
  • Creative, strategic thinking, organizational, communication skills, and hands-on mentality.
  • Interest in the field of global health.
