Job Description:

A leading supplier of paints and coatings, are searching for a Global Quality Management Expert to develop and harmonize the QMS across all sites and oversee external certifications for ISO9001, 14001, 45001, 50001. The role has a flexible location, Berlin or Düsseldorf, with Global Travel required and proficiency in English.

Responsibilities


- Develop and implement a global quality management system aligned with the company's vision and values.
- Set and monitor global quality objectives, metrics, and report on product and process quality, customer claims, and quality-related costs.
- Lead and support the global quality team, including regional and site quality managers and continuous improvement specialists.
- Oversee external certifications for all sites (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 50001).
- Manage audit programs and ensure timely resolution of findings.
- Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to address quality risks and promote quality culture.
- Establish Standard Operating Procedures for process and supplier validation.
- Stay updated on quality management best practices and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Create a central Quality Assurance function to improve QC methodologies and tools.


Requirements


- At least 5 years of industry experience in quality management, preferably in a global setting.
- Proven experience leading quality systems and teams, with strong results.
-Knowledge of chemistry or process technology is a plus.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean, and related quality standards.
- Understanding of sustainability, energy, and environmental aspects in an industrial context.
- Proficiency in English.
- Ability to build credibility and relationships internally and externally.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in data management, budgeting, and reporting.
- Team player, able to navigate a matrix organisation and motivate stakeholders.
