Jobbeschreibung

The Associate Director Sales (f / m / d) provides leadership and direction to the German retail sales force and collaborates closely with the KAM team. This role is a vital part of the German Biosimilar leadership team, driving the development of national sales strategies alongside the Business Unit Director and key functions. Effective tracking of KPIs, team performance, and continual capability building are essential for the success of the Business Unit. The Associate Director Sales will foster a dynamic working culture that motivates individuals and guides the team through a constantly changing environment.

What You’ll Do

  1. Achieving regional & national sales goals: Manage and supervise the retail sales force, drive performance, align KAM activities with sales strategy, develop and execute omnichannel customer engagement strategies, set goals for each territory, ensure cooperation among sales teams and KAM, manage sales budgets, track KPIs, establish incentive goals, and plan sales meetings.
  2. Developing staff and assembling effective teams: Leverage team members’ strengths, provide coaching and feedback, ensure active development plans, foster an open learning environment, and track performance across regions.
  3. Aligning functions for commercial success: Develop strategies with key functions, collaborate with Marketing, Market Access, and Medical teams, lead cross-functional projects, and contribute insights on the competitive landscape.
  4. Organizational: Ensure compliance with regulations, SOPs, laws, and conduct standards; establish training programs and ensure internal training delivery.

Who You Are

You are a charismatic and experienced sales leader with scientific knowledge and persuasive skills, capable of navigating complex medical landscapes. You communicate confidently, build trust, and foster collaboration, guiding teams to achieve ambitious sales goals in the biosimilar industry.

Qualifications

  • University degree, MBA preferred
  • 8-10 years of pharmaceutical/healthcare sales experience
  • 3-5 years of proven sales leadership in Germany (mandatory)
  • Experience with HCPs in retail and hospital settings
  • Negotiation experience with hospital buying groups, wholesalers, and compounders (preferred)
  • Experience with Anti-TNF/Biologics and Biosimilars (desirable)
  • Track record of exceeding sales goals
  • International influence and exposure (preferred)
  • Fluent in German; proficiency in English required
