Your future team

The Accounting & Reporting Advisory (ARA) Service is a dedicated team providing accounting and financial reporting advisory services, specializing in IFRS, US GAAP, and LUX GAAP. The team assists clients by providing expert input on challenging transactions, conducting critical reviews of financial statements, and delivering training, among other activities.

ARA is a dynamic, multicultural, and young team that supports both external clients and audit teams with complex accounting matters and the practical application of accounting and financial reporting standards. ARA team members are encouraged to develop both their technical expertise and soft skills, aiming to become experts in their field and well-rounded professionals. The team strongly supports diversity, offering extensive training internally and through global firm resources, along with on-the-job coaching and career development opportunities. New members benefit from comprehensive onboarding and dedicated learning time before taking on responsibilities. As part of ARA, you will gain experience across various industries, benefit from a broad network of expertise, and frequently collaborate with teams from other departments, including Audit, Advisory, and Tax, both locally and internationally.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct research and analysis on specific operations (M&A, restructuring, financial instruments, etc.) to advise clients and support audit teams regarding accounting and financial reporting requirements.
  2. Review accounting policies and financial statements under IFRS, Lux GAAP, and US GAAP.
  3. Assist with consolidation accounting challenges.
  4. Prepare training materials to educate clients and Deloitte teams on recent updates in accounting and financial reporting.
  5. Build and develop a strong professional network within the firm, with other departments, and with clients.
  6. Participate in presentations, contribute to articles, and engage in non-technical activities to promote the growth of the service line.
  7. Assist in preparing proposals tailored to client needs.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Hold a Master’s degree in economics, finance, accounting, or a similar field, or be in the process of obtaining one.
  • Possess an internationally recognized professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, US CPA, DSCG, DEC, or Luxembourgish IRE.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in French, German, or Luxembourgish is a strong advantage.
  • Passionate about research in accounting topics across multiple GAAPs.
  • Think creatively and analytically.
  • Be a strong team player who promotes team spirit but can work independently when needed.
  • Enjoy technical accounting and building relationships, networks, and business opportunities.
