Our Group Treasury consists of the following teams: Investor Relations, Captive Finance and Structured Finance.

AUTO1 Group is a leader in using ABS financing technology. In addition to our unique existing ABS programme for our used car inventory, we are building a large captive finance business which we refinance in the ABS market, including our debut public market transaction, FinanceHero 2024-1. As we build the best way to buy and sell cars online we will also build the best ABS and captive finance business in the European car space.

This is a great opportunity for a young professional in the securitisation space to move to the issuer side. While you will have a better work life balance, you will still have the excitement from being part in the growth and development of a key issuer in the European ABS space.

Our head quarter is in Berlin. We have some flexibility for remote working but you will be expected to be in Berlin at least for an initial on-boarding period and subsequently be able to meet with colleagues on a regular basis in Berlin or London.

Job Description

• Manage the extensions, upsizing, and new jurisdiction processes for our asset-backed securitization programs for inventory, dealer receivables, and consumer loans
• Oversee the daily and monthly portfolio reporting to our re-financing partners
• Co-ordinate agreed procedures reviews and the issuance of our FinanceHero public market consumer receivables ABS transactions
• Liaise with Investor Relations on balance sheet disclosure and FinanceHero investor requests
• Manage rating agency reviews
• Manage the raising of other possible future debt transactions for AUTO1 Group, including the coordination among lawyers, tax advisors, and other external advisors or agents
• Manage relationships with the Structured Finance and DCM teams of our partner banks
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, especially in Accounting, Cash Management and Reconciliation, Legal, Tax and Risk, Technology and Financial Systems, and FP&A to ensure smooth operational processes and detailed planning
• Collaborate with Legal and tax advisors, Backup servicers and corporate service providers
• Assist the Treasurer and CFO in thinking through the long-term strategic capital needs of the company

Qualifications

• Experience as an Associate or VP in Debt Capital Markets and/or Structured Finance
• Master’s degree from a top-tier university in business, finance, economics or similar
• Strong understanding of debt negotiation and documentation
• Strong experience in ratings advisory or credit in an investment bank, or working in financing in a law firm
• Strong modelling skills
• Desirable you bring experience with Italian Law 130 securitisations
• Strong communication and project management skills, plus you bring an innovative mindset and a passion to "make things happen"
• Excellent proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; SQL, VBA and Redash are beneficial
• Communicate fluently in English, fluency in German or Italian is a plus
