The Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Data Scientist to lead the development of advanced machine learning models. Your work will focus on personalized insurance product recommendations, optimizing consultation processes for our agents, and automating administrative tasks related to user activity. You will collaborate closely with data engineering, analytics, and product teams to deploy impactful solutions, emphasizing model performance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and refine machine learning and data models to solve business challenges.
2. Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and feature engineering to extract insights and enhance model accuracy.
3. Work with data and software engineering teams to deploy models into production, ensuring effective integration and testing.
4. Monitor model performance and data quality, and analyze feedback for improvements.
5. Communicate complex analysis and results clearly to stakeholders to support strategic decisions.
6. Develop automated workflows for data preprocessing and model retraining to maintain relevance over time.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields.
• 7+ years of experience in data science or analytics, with a focus on model development.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with frameworks like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Experience with version control systems such as git.
• Knowledge of data quality tools and testing frameworks (e.g., Great Expectations, pytest).
• Strong SQL skills for data querying and analysis.
• Experience in developing machine learning models for recommendations and process optimization.
• Experience managing machine learning pipelines.
• Proficiency in EDA and feature engineering.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau.
• Knowledge of NLP techniques and libraries.
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis, algorithms, and data modeling.
• Knowledge of model evaluation, validation, and performance monitoring best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, especially in explaining technical results to non-technical stakeholders.

Optional Skills

• Experience with big data tools like Apache Spark (PySpark).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift).
• Knowledge of MLOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow.
• Experience with workflow automation tools like Apache Airflow.
• Familiarity with feature management tools and database optimization.
• Knowledge of dbt for data transformation and analytics.
