Job Title : Senior Grid Connection & Substation Project Manager – Renewable Energy (Wind & Solar)

Location : remote ( HQ in Berlin)

Travel : Regular travel within Germany required

Join one of the leading onshore renewable energy developers in Germany. We deliver large-scale wind and solar power projects and are looking for an experienced professional to lead the planning and implementation of grid connections and substations for our expanding project portfolio.

Your Responsibilities :

• Plan and implement grid connections and substations for large-scale wind and photovoltaic (PV) projects, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
• Calculate construction services and resource requirements for the implementation phase to support investment decisions.
• Prepare and evaluate tender processes in collaboration with procurement and support contract negotiations.
• Create and review specifications for construction and engineering services.
• Develop and improve standards and processes for project execution and reporting.
• Ensure on-site quality standards and compliance across all project phases.

Your Profile :

• Certified Technician, Master Craftsman, or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the energy sector, with a strong focus on grid connections, substations, and high-voltage technologies (up to 380 kV).
• In-depth knowledge of primary and secondary substation technology, energy supply networks, and protection / control systems.
• Proven experience leading major infrastructure or utility-scale energy projects.
• Strong familiarity with suppliers and service providers in the grid connection space.
• Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of PowerFactory and AutoCAD is a plus.
• Fluent German and in English (C1 level), with strong technical communication skills.
• Class B driver’s license.
• Willingness to relocate to Berlin or Bremen.
