Blackfield Associates are currently partnered with a global pharmaceutical manufacturer to support their search for a Electrical Specialist to join their project based in the Rhineland-Palatinate area on an initial 12 month contract.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide expert-level technical guidance on all electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, emergency power, and UPS systems.
• Review and approve electrical design packages, single-line diagrams, load calculations, and installation drawings.
• Support the coordination and integration of electrical systems with other disciplines (mechanical, automation, process).
• Oversee electrical installation activities to ensure adherence to design, quality, safety, and compliance requirements.
• Participate in, inspections, system walkdowns, and punch list resolution.
• Support commissioning and qualification efforts (IQ, OQ) for electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues arising during installation and commissioning.
• Collaborate closely with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to drive project milestones.
• Maintain accurate documentation of design changes, testing, and turnover packages.
• Provide technical input for risk assessments, HAZOPs, and safety reviews.

Experience required :

• Sufficient years of experience in electrical design, installation, and commissioning within pharmaceutical, biotech, or industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of EU electrical regulations, DIN / VDE standards, and applicable GMP requirements.
• Proven experience managing and resolving complex technical challenges on large capital projects.
• Familiarity with electrical safety standards and best practices (e.g., ATEX, IEC).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Fluency in English required
