Position: Experimental Scientist / Technical Assistant

UCANEO is seeking a skilled Experimental Scientist to join our Technical Development Team, contributing to the scaling and optimization of our innovative direct air capture technology. We are also looking for a dedicated Technical Assistant to support our lab operations in Berlin. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with engineers and scientists, assisting with laboratory tasks, testing, and prototype development for our DAC technology. You will play a key role in maintaining an efficient and organized lab environment, ensuring smooth experiments and tests.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in setting up and conducting experiments related to electrochemical and process development.
2. Maintain lab equipment, ensuring calibration and proper functioning.
3. Prepare chemical solutions, handle lab materials, and keep the workspace clean and organized.
4. Collect, record, and analyze experimental data.
5. Collaborate with engineers and scientists to support prototype development and testing.
6. Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with lab safety standards.

Your Profile

Skills and Experience:

• Technical diploma, Bachelor’s degree, or relevant certification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
• At least 1 year of hands-on laboratory experience.
• Familiarity with basic lab equipment and processes, including solution preparation and chemical handling.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
