Job Overview

Job Title: Technical Project Manager

Location: Ramstein Air Base, Germany

Job Responsibilities

The Technical Project Manager will support IT project management activities at the unit level, overseeing all aspects of projects, leading teams on large projects or significant segments of complex projects. The tasks include:

1. Analyzing complex project-related problems and creating innovative solutions involving schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management.
2. Providing application systems analysis and planning for application selection, development, maintenance, and support resources.
3. Receiving operational guidance from unit leadership and managing project requirements accordingly.
4. Advising unit leadership on engineering efforts and providing technical recommendations for current or upcoming projects.
5. Applying project management best practices to ensure timely and quality completion of engineering projects.
6. Engaging with political-level customers in a joint operational military environment.
7. Ensuring contractor personnel receive proper training, tools, and access to resources needed for project completion.
8. Providing accurate and timely reports to leaders and stakeholders, including weekly status reports and project tracking reviews.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Active, in-scope US Government Secret clearance.
2. US Citizenship due to contract requirements.
3. At least 12 years of progressive experience in design and development.
4. At least 5 years managing and supervising military hardware/software development and systems analysis.
5. Experience with project management computer tools.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management preferred, or an Associate’s degree with 15 years of recent specialized experience, or 20 years of recent specialized experience.
