About the Division of Biostatistics

The division provides state-of-the-art statistical support tailored to all scientific activities at DKFZ. We analyze data from high-dimensional molecular studies to clinical trials. Our team aims to be at the forefront of interdisciplinary research and applied statistics, ranging from consulting and analysis to developing complex methods for scientific questions. We also focus on researching novel biostatistical techniques to support biomedical data analysis.

Your Tasks

1. Provide biostatistical consulting and support across all project phases in cancer research, including study design, data analysis, and result interpretation and publication. Focus areas include:

• Analysis of high-dimensional molecular data and clinical phenotypes
• Design and analysis of preclinical and clinical studies

Develop and apply innovative biostatistical methods and analysis strategies.

Your Profile

• Master’s or PhD in (bio-)statistics, mathematics, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of statistics
• Proficiency in statistical programming, preferably R
• Excellent written and spoken English; German skills are not required
• Interest in interdisciplinary research
