Job Overview

We are seeking personnel to provide delivery services, including delivery and pick-up of furnishings and appliances to and from Einsiedlerhof Air Station. This is a six-month contract from 1 May to 31 October 2024.

Qualifications

• Physical ability to load and unload furnishings and appliances, including dining chairs, tables, sofas, beds, wardrobes, washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, etc., of various sizes and weights.
• Ability to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods, and to bend, stoop, and work in tiring or uncomfortable positions.
• Capability to perform strenuous physical work, including heavy lifting over 35 kg, with assistance for objects between 70 and 120 kg.
• Work environment may be hot, damp, cold, drafty, or poorly lit, with potential hazards requiring safety precautions and PPE such as hardhats, safety shoes, and gloves.
• Ability to speak English and/or German.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Loading and unloading furnishings and appliances onto and off trucks.
• Delivering and picking up furnishings and appliances within the Kaiserslautern Military Community.
• Assembling/disassembling furnishings.
• Connecting/disconnecting appliances and checking for leaks.
• Inspecting furnishings and appliances for cleanliness, damage, or loss.
• Optimizing storage space while observing vehicle weight limits.
• Handling furnishings carefully to avoid damage.
• Performing daily vehicle interior cleaning, weekly exterior washing, and workspace organization.
• Following safety and equipment operation procedures.
