Job Summary

The Red Hat Sales team is seeking a Senior Specialist Solution Architect to join us in Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf or remotely in Germany. In this role, you will support the OpenShift Platform Sales team and provide pre-sales technical support to prospects. You'll work with key customers both on site and remotely to build a relationship of trust and confidence between Red Hat and the customer's engineering, development, and operations teams. To be successful, you'll need to gain an understanding of the customer's business needs and align those needs with the capabilities of our solutions. You will also play a crucial role in bringing together internal cross-functional teams to satisfy our most challenging customers. You'll serve as the customer's advocate with these teams to architect the best solution and ensure that it is implemented and supported in an innovative and reliable way.

What you will do

Deliver successful Red Hat OpenShift workshops for small to medium teams of both technical and non-technical backgrounds that shape and influence customer use cases and architecture design decisions.

The activities are focused on infrastructure focused topics like OpenShift operational architecture, OpenShift Virtualization, Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (ACM) and Red Hat Advanced Container Security (ACS)

Scope evaluations and guide customers through successful proofs of concept and pilot deployments.

Design, create, and deliver content that enables the broader Red Hat organization to sell, service, and support Red Hat OpenShift solutions at scale.

Work closely with internal product teams, Product Engineering, Professional Services, Support, and Sales to ensure a world-class customer experience with Red Hat’s products

Contribute to the development of repeatable methodologies and tools designed to scale Red Hat’s services capabilities, promote repeatable customer engagements, and lower delivery risk.

Demonstrate thought leadership in the OpenShift communities by producing world-class white papers, webinars, etc., and speaking at industry leading conferences.

Understand customer challenges and how the Red Hat OpenShift portfolio can be used to develop new strategic sales opportunities.

What you will bring

10+ years of across industry experience in the IT field

5+ years of experience in Kubernetes/Container software solutions (preferably with a focus on infrastructure and operations)

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience

Solid background in consultative customer engagement with a major professional services organization or within the services division of a major software company

Track record of working in a strategic advisory role to senior IT and business executives

Outstanding verbal and written communications skills

Solutions-sales mentality in an environment with multiple products and services

Ability to work seamlessly with distributed, cross-functional teams to achieve success on behalf of customers

Excellent balance of strategic and tactical skills with a high level of intellectual agility and capacity for original thought

Business-level communication and presentation skills in German and English

Willingness to travel up to 50%
