Vestas is the energy industry’s global partner on sustainable energy solutions. We design, manufacture, install, and service wind turbines across the globe, and with + GW of wind turbines in operation, we have installed more wind power than anyone else.

Plant Engineering is a part of Service NCE (Northern & Central Europe) of Vestas and supports the organization in installing and servicing a large number of SCADA systems, controlling medium and large-sized wind power plants. Our job is to turn a collection of wind turbines into a fully operational power plant, according to contractual and regional requirements. Our customers are mainly larger power supply companies and professional investors.

For our team, we are looking for a SCADA Engineer (m/f/d) in Hamburg (Germany).

Your responsibilities:

• Supply SCADA and power plant system engineering: functional design specification, configuration, and layout according to the contract
• Provide and maintain SCADA and power plant system documentation, including as-built documentation
• Develop and maintain test documentation for the complete SCADA system
• Ensure all test activities on virtual test environments and physical tests are executed according to the plan
• Collaborate with SCADA specialists, network specialists, and hardware engineers
• Build SCADA hardware at sub-suppliers or at Vestas departments in Denmark
• Perform commissioning tasks at customer sites in cooperation with SCADA specialists
• Supervise installation of SCADA panels at substations and other locations
• Possess electro-technical or electrical engineering background with practical and theoretical knowledge
• Have practical experience with SCADA technologies, panel building, and grid calculations
• Possess technical knowledge in industrial automation
• Experience in designing and implementing SCADA and control systems
• Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation related to SCADA, network, process control, and data exchange installations
